Gratitude
I am thankful for the beauty of nature. I increased the contrast on this image and increased the saturation of orange/yellow colors to make the butterfly stand out.
I am thankful for family. I increased the saturation of blue in the photo and added a slight black vignette so that the mom and daughter pop out.
I am thankful for Starbucks coffee. I increased the saturation of red to make the photo have a warmer and more Autumny vibe.
I am thankful for the beach. I didn't do much to edit this picture because I felt that it looked pretty nice already. However, I did clone stamp out a boat on the horizon because it was distracting.

Hands & Feet
I converted all of the pictures to black and white. I upped the contrast and added vignettes also. I think the contrast is much better in black and white, and I think it adds a little bit of drama to the photos. These images represent her shyness and tendency to be introverted because she is hiding behind her hair.

Historical Houses
I took all of my pictures in Port Costa in the business district. I chose them because I really like all of the detail you can see in the old wood. The wood is deteriorating, but not so much so that it looks gross. I also really like the lighting on the chair in the doorway. And I like the picture of the stairs because of all the different lines that direct your eyes to the same place.

Sense of Place
I wanted to capture the message College Park is trying to send about the school. Everyone can be together in one place and feel a sense of community. Also, most decorations around the school get ruined and torn down within a couple weeks. This decoration has been there for two years.
This shows College Park's patriotism. We show respect to our country by putting up the flags every morning.

Lith Print & Lomograph Tutorial
This is the lith print tutorial picture. First I opened the picture in Photoshop, and then I duplicates the image's layer. Then I selected Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and ticked the colorize box. I set the hue slider to 40 and saturation to 30 and hit okay to apply the lith tone. Next, I duplicated the top layer and went to FIlter > Noise > Add Noise and selected the uniform box and ticked the monochromatic box. I set the amount slider to 30% and hit okay. Then I reduced the layer's opacity to 30% to soften the texture. I applied the gaussian blur filter, radius 1.5, to soften even more. Finally, I created a new layer and selected Edit > FIll > Black. I drew an oval over the picture with the Elliptical Marquee, hit shift+cmd/ctrl+l to invert. I applied a layer mask, set layer blending to soft light and removed the inner edge with a soft brush to create a vignette.
This is the lomograph tutorial picture. First I opened the picture in Photoshop and created a copy of the background. I went to FIlter > Blur > Radial Blur, entered 15 in the amount, set method to zoom, and quality to best. I applied a layer mask and used a large soft brush to remove blur from the center. Next, I created a new layer and used a black, soft brush to paint a vignette. I lowered the opacity to 50%. I went to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > CHannel Mixer, and adjusted the red/green output channels color. Finally, I duplicated the background layer and went to FIlter > Noise > Add Noise and entered 10 for amount, set to uniform and monochromatic. I added the same noise filter to the layer with radial blur.

First I created a new blank layer. Then clicked on the pen tool and selected free form pen. I drew the line, and then I pressed control and clicked on the line. I then selected stroke path > brush > simulate pressure. Then I went to layer > layer style > outer glow. From there I adjusted the color, spread, and size of the lines.

Animal Project
In Lightroom, I sharpened the photo and then I added black vignetting and increased the brightness. I was trying to communicate that the lion is regal.
In Lightroom, I used the brush tool to lighten the meerkat's left eye. Then I added black vignetting. I was trying to communicate that the meerkat is watchful and attentive.
I did not edit this picture at all. I was trying to communicate that the bird is majestic.

In Lightroom, I increased the intensity of the blacks. Then in Photoshop, I clone stamped out some leaves and irregularities on the crocodile's mouth. I was trying to communicate that the crocodile is dangerous.

Texture Layers, Opacity & Blending Modes
First I exported both pictures from Lightroom to Photoshop. Then I copied the texture picture and pasted it on the picture of the shoes. I changed the opacity to 27% and selected blending mode normal. The texture overlay adds a feeling of oldness to the picture and makes it look more vintage.

Text With Layer Blending Modes
First I opened photoshop and added a gradient background. I used normal mode, linear gradient, in the purple/pink color. Then I typed the word "meow" in the font poplar std, size 190 pt, in the color maroon. After, I used the warp text tool and added the fisheye effect and bent it +67%. Next I used the drop shadow tool in the blend mode linear burn, opacity 87%, angle -143. Then i used the inner shadow post with blend mode multiply, opacity 75%, angle -143. After I used the pattern overlay tool with blend mode normal and opacity 24%. Next I used the bevel and emboss tool with the contour inner bevel, depth 171%, in the down direction. Finally, I used the stroke tool in the size 4 px, outside position, blend mode normal, and fill type color.

Chrysanthemum Color Change Project
This is the before picture.
First I opened the picture in photoshop and created a new layer. Then I used color range to select just the flower. After, I slid the fuzziness slider to get the best detail while keeping the background black. Then I used color balance to adjust the colors in the shadows, midtones, and highlights to make the flower yellow. Then I went to Image > Mode > 8/bit. And finally I went to Filter Gallery > Distort > Diffuse Glow.

Macro Lens Flower Project
I used a macro lens to take these pictures. I also put drops of saline on the petals to look like water drops. Then I used the clone stamp tool in photoshop because the saline left white marks on the petals. After that, I cropped the pictures down to 4X7. I opened a new document and used guide lines to help me place the pictures in the correct places. I put two vertically at .5 in and 6.5 in. Then I put two horizontally at .5 in and 4.5 in.

This is the before picture.
This is the after picture. I converted it to black and white, increased the contrast, made it brighter, and changed the blacks. Then I burned the light in the middle to make it a little bit darker. I also used lens vignetting to make the corners darker.
