Gratitude

I am thankful for the beauty of nature. I increased the contrast on this image and increased the saturation of orange/yellow colors to make the butterfly stand out.
I am thankful for family. I increased the saturation of blue in the photo and added a slight black vignette so that the mom and daughter pop out.
I am thankful for Starbucks coffee. I increased the saturation of red to make the photo have a warmer and more Autumny vibe.
I am thankful for the beach. I didn't do much to edit this picture because I felt that it looked pretty nice already. However, I did clone stamp out a boat on the horizon because it was distracting.

Hands & Feet

I converted all of the pictures to black and white. I upped the contrast and added vignettes also. I think the contrast is much better in black and white, and I think it adds a little bit of drama to the photos. These images represent her shyness and tendency to be introverted because she is hiding behind her hair.

Historical Houses

I took all of my pictures in Port Costa in the business district. I chose them because I really like all of the detail you can see in the old wood. The wood is deteriorating, but not so much so that it looks gross. I also really like the lighting on the chair in the doorway. And I like the picture of the stairs because of all the different lines that direct your eyes to the same place.

Sense of Place

I wanted to capture the message College Park is trying to send about the school. Everyone can be together in one place and feel a sense of community. Also, most decorations around the school get ruined and torn down within a couple weeks. This decoration has been there for two years.
This shows College Park's patriotism. We show respect to our country by putting up the flags every morning.
